Parent Teacher Association:-
A meeting of the parent teacher association of Infant Jesus School, Chikmagalur was held on the 1st of August, 2010, at 10.30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Chetan Leo Lobo, OFM Cap. the secretary of the Capuchin Education Board in Karnataka presided over the meeting and addressed the gathering as a resource person. The meeting began at 10.30 with the prayer song sung by the school teachers. Thereafter, Miss Benita Asha Latha, welcomed the gathering; Miss Supriya C S one of the teachers gave a birds view on the activities and other details of the school from May 15th to July 31st. In her report she mentioned that the school has a strength of 352 students and 18 staff members making a total number of 370 people in the campus. The President of the day and also the resource person highlighted the role of the staff and the parents/guardians to educate the child in a befitting manner. He also emphasized the impact a child would have if it is freely exposed to the media such as television, mobile and radio. The school principal Bro. Victor Crasta, OFM Cap. explained in detail how the parents could co-operate with the teachers to make a child a better citizen.

The principal also conducted the election for the Parent Teacher-Association. The newly elected members are:- Mr. Sujendra D B (President), Mr. Panchakshari M S (vice-president), Mr. Hari Singh (Secretary), Mrs. Sowmya M (Treasurer), Mr. Lakshman Gowda, Mr. Lakshman Gowda V R and Mrs. Sudha K S were chosen as the members of the PTA. The newly elected were felicitated by the Secretary and the Principal and their respective responsibilities were handed over by the outgoing members. Mrs. Kusuma A proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs. Pushpalatha compered the entire programme. More than 300 members took part in the meeting that ended at 12.30 p.m.
